Mike Singelton's Prompt Memorial Garden Gate and Pillar

Arrived at a gate, didn't know.

Was there a former château?

An ornate gate with two pillars.

Did it belong to the Millers?

Amazed, there wasn't a hassle.

It wasn't a château but a castle.

The castle wasn't the Millers but Percy.

A long family history, oh mercy.

The gate was built by a blacksmith's hand.

Birds fly above, the vegetation covers the land.

The castle was once used as a movie set.

Obviously, there wasn't a need to fret.

The garden was free from bicycles and dogs.

If there was a pond, it could have frogs.

The path looks easy to follow.

There was a log that might be hollow.

Traveling the UK vicariously,

we chatted gregariously.

In aw of the magnificent gate,

a work of art that's a sturdy weight.

Writer's notes: Mike's picture of the gate is amazing. Wasn't able to find one like it. Appreciate the read and many thanks to you!

Mahalo & Aloha!
