All The Things

In Quarantine

By Imani K. WatkinsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

A thing I saw

A thing I seen

All the things

In quarantine

I saw my mom

I seen the sweets

But her diet

Said no treats

I saw my mom

I seen the scale

The number was big

And she said “oh well”

A thing I saw

A thing I seen

All the things

In quarantine

I saw my dad

I seen his plane

His secret new toy

Mom called it “a pain”

I saw my dad

I seen the tree

When his new toy crashed

He yelled “are you kidding me?”

A thing I saw

A thing I seen

All the things

In quarantine

I saw my brother

I seen him run

He poured red juice

In his water gun

I saw my brother

I seen him squirt

He soaked my sister’s

Pretty white skirt

A thing I saw

A thing I seen

All the things

In quarantine

I saw my sister

I seen her cry

I’m pretty sure

My brother is why

I saw my sister

I seen her hands

She pulled my brother

By his underpants

A thing I saw

A thing I seen

All the things

In quarantine

I saw my family

I seen them all

Since I’m in quarantine

With them and my doll.
