All the questions I want to ask

well, not all, but the three I dare right now

Will I ever have your lips again?

Will I ever feel your heartbeat through my fingertips?

Will I ever learn to breathe and let go of what you left in me?

As you're changing character and shifting the ways we'll all be seen,

I have to wonder if your arms will ever feel the same when we hug hello/goodbye/congrats

I can't recall the last time everything just felt all right...

Actually, no, scratch that.

I'm finding myself again.

I might miss you forever and love you for eternity,

but hopefully these returning feelings

for those faces, and those bodies, and those lips,

are showing me that I'm not broken,

I'm not smashed

I might even stop wishing that it had been you forever by my side...

One day...

Perhaps...
