Ain't No Vaccine for the Blues

so now I'm in the emergency room

By Dan WestPublished 10 months ago Updated 10 months ago 1 min read

I got the old Ain't No Vaccine for the Blues blues.

You heard me, yeah you heard me all right,

That gal done left me

And now I got to count my tears all night.

Hey, I just gotta find the tempo for my sorrows,

So I can keep a count of all my sad tomorrows

Just sittin' here, well you know where.

If you got a heart then you been there.

Don't make me look down that long lonesome road

Where I find out how you knew what it is that you know.

That's where you hear a tune that hangs in the air

And makes you feel like that gal still gives a care.

That kind of blues is just bluer than blue

And someday you'll know just how I feel

Yeah, you will,

And you'll cry just the same like I do.

Yeah I got those old There Ain't no Vaccine for the Blues blues

And that gal just dropped me off at the emergency room,

Said she'd be sure an' be back if I didn't meet my doom.

Oh yeah she is some cold hearted broom wielder

And I never even got the opportunity to fielder.

There ain't no vaccine and it's contagious too

So if you find yourself way bluer than blue

You know it's your own baby who did this to you

And spent all your money on some good medicine too.

Then she ran off with Winnie the Pooh.
