The African Queen

Hush!

Hush oh maidens!

Cease now your clatters

You daughters of Eden

Hush, that I may speak of beauty

True beauty, not vain nor vile

She steps out in grace, a paragon with simplicity

I behold beauty raw, natures' touch unstained

Exquisite radiance, unhindered

My wines mingled

My heart roved back and forth

To behold this bundle

In perspiration drenched, I lie in wait

To explore the vastness of this ebony

without fear of variegation

To fondle her hair in a hide and seek

And not fear a wig's falling off

To cup her cheeks in both hands

and not be coated with layers of pink ash

To span the length of her manicured nails

And not have false nails falling off

To kiss her soft and delicate lips

And not be smeared with red mud

In bowls of flesh I sit and wait

Agbo mma, the wife of her husband

A bull of Bashan

An epitome of virtue

Your husband is honored at the gates

Your children, they rise and call you blessed

Agbomma.....

You are a man's dream come true
