Your tears fall and

I catch them in earnest

As your shields collapse

Around us

Don't be afraid for I

Won't let go

Holding you tighter as it

All becomes too much

Your pain resonates from

You in waves as my shirt

Hides the evidence of your sorrow

The loss you feel is a great one

That for this moment you can not

Bare alone

No worries my darling for you

Are not

Nor will you ever be

Just call out my name

And I will reach out my hand

I'll catch you before the fall and

Help you to stand

I wipe away your fallen tears

The last remaining affirmation of

The destruction in your heart

You smile shyly and I kiss you

Gently and softly whisper I

Love you and all will be alright

About the Creator

Catherine MacKenzie

I write about murders, and murderers. I write of thoughts, confusions, victories, defeats. Of love gained and love lost. Of life in all its multi-faceted glory.
