she found herself amongst it all

but not before she had to fall

to find peace when you are at war...

is something one should be grateful for

*

never did she think this would be her path

what would she do in the aftermath?

after the fighting had ceased...

would she find that inner peace?

*

when her insides were ripped out

and she was floating and bobbing about

she had to learn how to be brave

to put herself back together again

*

piece by piece, she would see what would fit

for putting yourself back together... there is no kit

some pieces she decided to leave

for she didn't need them all, you see

*

when the war was over... she learned something new

that she could be a different version than she used to

she could put herself back together however she enjoyed

this time she'd make sure there was no void

*

there would be no pieces that she didn't need

and when she is done... there will not be any reason to bleed

she made herself into someone new in the aftermath

this time SHE would be strong enough to last

heartbreak
