Out of the blue

There you were

Taking me out

Showing me a good time

Smiles and laughs

Feeling good and

Feeling hope

*

Then slowly it turned

I felt you slipping

Where there was giddiness

Now there is wondering

Why have things shifted

Where did you go

And now I care

*

As soon as you came

You left

Making me feel

And then leaving me cold

Stirring up feelings

I didn’t intend to have

And now there is silence

heartbreak

This poem took me to every time I got my hopes up to have them dashed. Great job
