After the Hurt From Rejection
We have to find zeal to live
Environment changes,
People develop new motivations,
You can’t fulfill,
You stop being rewarding,
They call you a burden,
They abuse you,
As if you are a thing.
You lose joy from life,
You take to addictive habits,
You get sick,
Rejection is worse than germs,
You spiral deeper into addiction,
And take toxic therapies,
No wonder here
death comes premature.
That’s how life ends,
We blame each other,
It’s the situations all along,
You can’t change people,
You can’t change circumstances,
So change your mindset,
Hold your head high,
In dignity, despite hurts.
Find solutions
Hard they may be
Not impossible.
Life need not be endured
but savored
being true to self.
