We'll travel to new and wondrous places

We'll have many new experiences

And we'll venture deep into the unknown

Until we're good and lost.

The unknown can be scary.

New adventures and new locations can be scary.

Getting to know new souls can be scary too.

We don't know what to expect, we don't know how it will impact us, we don't know if we're going to be safe or okay, we do not know if we'll enjoy our time, we do not know a lot.

We often find ourselves afraid. Afraid of the unknown and the way it could change our reality that we've come to know and grow comfortable with. We become so used to the fact that things are the way that we currently know them and I feel we often forget the fact that change is inevitable and can actually be very fun and exciting!

Many of us tiptoe through life in a constant state of fear, worry, stress, and anxiety, panicking or scrutinizing over what tomorrow might hold in store for them. What bad things could happen? Who might I have to talk to? If we focus on the negative aspects and forget to bare an open mind about all of the adventures (or misadventures) that life might throw at us, they will remain negative or daunting.

Instead, trust. Trust that new adventures do not have to be so scary! Trust that new people can be wonderful and can transport our life on a whirlwind of an adventure that we never could have imagined ourselves being on. Trust that life and all of its adventures are filled with a constant unknowing, but that does not meant that is bad. It just means that we do not know what adventures await us. What new person do I get the privilege to meet? What new places do I get the privilege to see?

Love is an adventure in itself, and can be one of the scariest ones at that if we think it that way. Love can have you walking paths that seemed too brambly to cross through. Love can have you sailing seas that seemed too turbulent to sail before. Love can have you braving the toughest of excursions but being ecstatic to do so.

When the Wanderlust and the Adventure get together, there is no stopping what great things they'll see and accomplish in life together! There is so much life out there to experience; let’s go get lost 💜
