Across the Hall

Emotions

By Ashley Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Across the hall lives an old lady, she bakes me chocolate chip cookies weekly

Across the hall lives a single dad, he works nights and I watch his daughter

Across the hall lives a couple, they showed me their puppy yesterday

Across the hall lives an old lady, she has no family

Across the hall lives a single dad, he’s fighting a monster inside himself

Across the hall lives a couple, he thinks she’s cheating and he’s trying to convince her to stay

Across the hall lives an old lady, she’s lonely

Across the hall lives a single dad, he’s ready to give up

Across the hall lives a boy, she left him today

Across the hall lives an old lady, I invited her over for dinner

Across the hall lives a single dad, I invited him and his daughter over for dinner

Across the hall lives a boy, I invited him over for dinner

Across the hall lives an old lady, I called her nana and she lit up because she now has a family

Across the hall lives a single dad, I held out a hand and he cried because he now has an ally in his fights

Across the hall lives a boy, I asked him to get coffee and he smiled because he has hope

Across the hall lives an old lady, she taught me her recipe

Across the hall lives a single dad, he smiles more

Across the hall lives a boy, I think we’re falling in love
