About Human Motivations

We don't have to be people-pleaser

Many of us face this issue.

Social media gives us supporters —

but real-world people often seem indifferent.

Why, we often ask?

Where did we go wrong?

If you feel this way, read on.

The truth is:

We don’t come under their motivation radar.

We don’t seem capable of solving their insecurities.

It’s unfortunate, but that’s how humans often are.

Humans want their motivations fulfilled.

If not, they usually don’t care.

So don’t expect softness from everyone.

Value those who help you grow.

You don’t need to please everybody,

or stoop to match their level.

Be kind, yes —

but don’t become a people-pleaser.

Because human motivation is often abysmal.

It’s tough when you feel like the people around you, especially in the real world, aren't as supportive as the ones you find online. I have found everyone on Vocal to be very supportive!
