A Writer's Mind
A short poem
Shooting past my eyes
With wings, every word swiftly flies
Stretching out my arms
I try hard to catch their charms
*
Some pierce and shear
Through the deepest wounds and the greatest fear
Bringing up dark shadows in my past
Won't stop the bombarding blasts
*
Some bring joy and cheers
From memories long buried in layers
Forgotten laughs miraculously resound
Witnessing life's grand rebound
*
Some zap in comfort so calm
Dusty doubts can do no more harm
The Almighty's promise now shines
Faith centers, hope arises
*
Nothing is like a writer's mind
Words come and go like the tides
Tangled thoughts weave through the rhymes
Let the tears and laughs brightly shine
