Congratulations!

To the Groom,

To the Bride,

Congratulations!

My heart swells,

My stomach drops,

My throat is closing,

My mouth fills with bile.

What a beautiful matrimony,

Filled with anguish,

Filled with pain,

Filled with hate.

To the Groom,

To the Bride,

What a beautiful day,

Oh look at the rain,

The thunder pounds against my temples,

Lightening blinds this memory,

A flash- The Past.

To the Groom,

To the Bride,

Voices raise,

Fists take aim,

Hands clench at throats,

My hands clasped away,

Out of reach,

Comfort in that pain.

My love lasts,

Like a scar,

Dirty,

Rigid,

Ugly,

Painful.

To the Groom,

A toast to greedy hands,

Lanky limbs,

Bruising lips,

Threatening smirks,

Preyful eyes.

To the Bride,

A toast to haunting words,

Forceful hands,

Hard egos,

Naive smile,

Hurt eyes.

To the Groom,

To the Bride,

Congratulations!
