The raindrops fall upon my face,

A cool and gentle embrace.

I walk along the streets so bare,

The only sound, the pitter-patter of repair.

The world is gray and dull and damp,

But in my heart there is a lamp.

A light that shines through all the gloom,

A reflection of the coming bloom.

The flowers, they will soon arise,

With petals open to the skies.

And I will walk beneath the trees,

With the sun upon my knees.

For now, I'll walk in the rain,

And let the drops wash away my pain.

I'll dance and twirl in the downpour,

And feel my spirits start to soar.

For in the rain, there is new life,

A chance to let go of all our strife.

So let the drops fall on your skin,

And know that with the rain, new life begins.
