A Valentine Glass of confidence

The courage to pop the question

A Valentine Glass of confidence

A glass of beer, golden and clear,

To calm my heart, to silence fear.

On Valentine’s, the perfect day,

I gather courage, words to say.

The bubbles rise, my spirits, too,

As I think of a life with you.

The moment’s near, my heart beats fast,

A question formed, the die is cast.

With trembling hands, I meet your gaze,

The world around us fades to haze.

“Will you, darling, share your life?

Be my love, my heart, my wife?”

Beautiful, once again. At first, I thought it was going to be a love poem to beer and was thinking, yeah I can go along with that. 🤣
