A Tribute to Charlie Kirk
The Smile That Would Not Fade
By Dagmar GoeschickPublished 4 months ago • 1 min read

He stood among the crowd, his voice was clear,
Not seeking gold, nor craving fleeting fame;
With patient heart, he lit truth’s steady flame,
A lantern bright to guide all those who hear.
With open hands, he offered grace sincere,
And kindness crowned his ever-smiling frame.
No harsh demand, no shadow of a claim,
But hope and love to hold his neighbors near.
Yet envy stirred, and darkness took its breath,
A devil’s hand struck down the man of light.
But still his torch defies the grasp of death,
For love endures beyond the reach of night.
His smile remains, though silence veils the land,
A gentle fire no shadow can command.
