The night is dark, the moon is high
Silence reigns, the world is nigh
A figure lurks in shadows deep
His eyes gleaming, his breath a creep
He stalks his prey, with stealth and skill
His movements quick, his senses still
He knows his victim, oh so well
His plans are laid, his mind a swell
The victim walks, unknowing still
Of the danger that is about to spill
The figure moves, he strikes with force
The victim falls, no remorse
The figure drags, the body away
Into the night, to a place to stay
No one knows, the fate of the prey
The figure smiles, he's won the day
But justice comes, in unexpected ways
The figure's caught, in the light of day
The victim's family, finally finds peace
The figure's fate, a life in police.
So beware the night, and watch your back
For evil lurks, in every crack
Be wise and cautious, in all you do
Or the figure may come, and come for you.
