Mr. Sun,

I'm sorry to tell you‐

that your warmth, no longer has an effect on me...

I can see your shining face, but

my heart still frowns within me‐

I can see your light through this storm that surrounds me, but

still, I feel empty‐

but, it's not you...

nor is it me.

Unable to crawl from underneath these clouds of ire,

the rain that pours over me cannot put out the fire that is this, burning paradise.

Please don't feel bad, Mr. Sun‐

it is not you who forces such a harsh breeze over my face,

pushing the rain to fall sideways

nor is it you who sends tremors through the earth beneath me

but Despair...

stealing from the both of us,

a thief in both your day and mine.

A thief in each, and every, day‐

turning upside down

all in your mind, and mine.

It is not your fault...

Mr. Sun‐

that agony has besieged me,

that apathy has such a grip on me

It is Despair,

taking from the both of us‐

standing between you and I,

Mr. Sun, to keep us apart‐

taking the color out of your art

to keep that same color out of my heart.

It is not your fault...

Mr. Sun,

I have fallen victim‐

to such a grim set of hands...

A thief, in each and every day.

I wish that you do not follow my steps,

do not come after me‐

stay there in the sky,

lest Despair takes a hold of you as well.
