A Thanksgiving Day
sort of

If selfish was foresight
To hone a blade, we'd all be gleaming in someone's shadow
We'd all be wishing for tomorrows
That are far away
Because hooded figures guard our dreams with eyes closed
While Arch Angels hover very near
To grab the years by and have the hatred that led to this disappear
While a man named Mo wishes he had a beer
That didn't have the many tears of souls dipped in it
Zoneians curtsy to the left thinking they're the best but floating in a curse
The problem with the entitled is they don't know the feeling of hopelessness to guide their virtue
Plain bread and black tea, the comfort of the day
Somewhere a belt sits on a shelf never to be used again and for that be thankful
The history of the world and traditions lost have a bigger meaning in Thanksgiving then
A personal best was a friend
A step in time
Then who let whores and lowers sorts be the matadors?
Would our forefathers glance at reasoning
Or be the heroes of tomorrow
Rise above the slippery slope
Rejoice in hope
My love, my love, brighter than the seashores
How could they do this to me
If selfish was foresight
To hone a blade, we'd all be gleaming in someone's shadow
Strike the night
Purpose, not plight
Beckoning me and my little lights
My love, my love, brighter than the seashores
That wait for me
