A Summer's Day

A vivid memory.

By J.W. BairdPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

We would run and play on a summer's day. Skating, biking, ziplining, or swimming. The memories continue to replay. We had fun all day laughing and swinging.

While in the backyard where the big tree grows. We made most of our summer until fall. Whether road trips, festivals, or car shows. Whatever was brought to us, nature's call.

We'd smile at the animals in the zoo. Taking walks along the sandy beaches. Picnics at the park with family too. Each day we could, before summer ceases.

Look deep into my heart, what do you find. The memories that lie within my mind.

About the Creator

J.W. Baird

Who Am I?

I keep asking myself. I spent half of my life as a single mother. Pushing myself to be the strong independent individual that I have always been. My kids have grown and my life seems turned upside down.

I now search to find myself!
