A solitary figure, lost in thought,
A heart once whole, now torn and fraught.
A step-single's journey, a winding path,
A bittersweet existence, a heavy wrath.
A blended family, a fragile maze,
Where expectations clash in endless haze.
The child, a innocent caught in strife,
Torn between loyalties, a difficult life.
The ex-partner, a distant ghost,
A lingering presence, a painful cost.
The new partner, a hesitant friend,
A cautious love, that must mend.
The loneliness, a constant ache,
A longing heart, a silent break.
The fear of judgment, a heavy load,
A sense of isolation, a lonely road.
A step-single's lament, a heartfelt plea,
For understanding, compassion, and empathy.
A desire for connection, a longing to share,
A hope for happiness, beyond despair.
