At first, I don’t believe you’re real
Though I want to more than anything
You've always been just out of reach
But now I see you, tempting
The sweet relief you could provide
Is all I have ever wanted
I am drawn toward your warmth,
Though by my past, I am still haunted
I don’t want to risk it all
And wind up worse than at the start
‘Cause in the wilderness I roam
All I can rely on is my heart
The depth of darkness is unmatched
When there's no one to guide
But you brought hope into my life
From which I no longer hide
