A Silent Witness
Poetic Introspection
This is for Poppyβs September challenge. Link up here!
Mystery. Intrigue. The negative. These are associations we typically form with the crow.
While we may not feel positive about this bird, it does remind us to tap into our innate goodness. How would we respond if we were this crow?

I perch atop your window sill,
Watching you go by
I see all things, your quirks and spills,
Your secrets and your lies
Your deceitful treachery
As you shatter a promise made
Horrendous debauchery
With her, heβs been betrayed

He was one your truest friend
With whom you had great trust
But he now sees you as a fiend
Owe that to your lust
My wings flapping as he shouts
His temper now unfolds
I thoroughly enjoy the bout
The secrets first untold
I watch with glee, caws unrestrained
As you defy with pride
The friendship lost, fault unexplained
Truth cannot be denied
I perch atop your window sill
Watching you go by
I see you now, deflated spilled
When all you do is cry.
