A Short Holiday Poem: A Lonely December

By: Sirelle Moore

By Sorelle.MaiaPublished 4 years ago β€’ 1 min read

It's the month of December. The time I remember, the moment I realized it was a lonely December.

Lying in bed thinking about what the year has brought, but mostly what it had taught.

It taught me the lessons of being a girl in love, only to uncover the problems that occured.

Remembering the toxicity of loving , for only to be blind like a dummy.

Crying in my pillow to this sad tone like tender, while the weather outside continues to fall below zero.

It's supposed to be happy days for the holidays but I'm feeling depressed on a christmas day fest.

But it's the month of December. The time I remember, the moment I realized it was the month of a lonely December.
