A Seed Instantly Sown

The Nature of Love

A "love at first sight"

Would cheapen the word

If love is that quick

It has not been earned

When you came to me

There was not a fall

I did not foresee

You would be my all

Love did appear but

It was not aggressive

It sat down and said

"I give you this message

My offer to you is

The gift of potential

By the light in her eyes

You know she is gentle

I cannot guarantee

But this could be magic

If you pass her up now

Fate says that is tragic"

Our love did not grow

From one glance alone

Love at first sight was

A seed instantly sown

love poems
