A Saving Lantern Burning Bright
Lantern Light Challenge

By night, you shine for all to see
Places where they should not be.
By day, you shape an eerie form
Pale and looking quite forlorn.
π―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈ
Every night without fail, you shine
A jagged coastline you define.
Behold all sailors in the night,
Heed the warning of this solitary light.
π―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈ
By day, you get your well-earned rest
Silent, still your light suppressed.
When night returns, you shine once more
Guiding sailors from the rocky shore.
π―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈ
When nights are fierce and seas are rough,
You sit high on the rocky bluff.
Your lantern shines all through the night,
A saving lantern burning bright.
π―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈπ―οΈ
Till next time,
Calvin

I love a lighthouse. Loved your poem too.
I love how the lantern becomes a symbol for hope and guidance. The imagery is precise, yet evocative, letting readers feel both the danger and reassurance of the scene.
Lighthouses sure saved a lot of lives. Loved your poem! Also, Maryam sent her regards. She said she misses your posts a lot!
