A road to dream's fulfillment
Perseverance and patience tested
"I don't dream at night. I dream all day; I dream for a living". Steven Spielberg.
One of the greatest truths to be told
Is that it is the dreamers who propel the world forward
Towards its fullest potential for new discoveries
We do not need to be asleep to dream
For if one does not dream and visualize new horizons
Then for what purpose do we keep reaching for the stars, and
Dream of walking on the moon, seeking to fulfill our ambitions
Our dreams are our subconscious propelling us onwards
I had recurring night dreams, lost in random forests
For years I wandered within these woods, going in circles
Some nights I met persons who directed me somewhere
Somewhere which led me nowhere, but returned me to
The place where I had already been, starting over again
Other times I was caught on a bridge with storms raging
Tossing me dreadfully back and forth, in terror of drowning
My bridge would sway awfully, yet I never fell, not once
My final dream after the many years, was my answer
I found my way onto a beautifully paved unending road
There was no one and nothing in sight. Just the road
I started walking up this road, not down, down would
Be regressing, not progressing, so I chose the former
My life mirrored those dreams. I fought hard for survival
After many years, the rocks gradually became kinder to my feet
I could breathe a little easier. I could see my way forward
There are still rocks, but now I can build a bridge over them
Dreams are the foundation of our everyday lives
Without dreams we are doomed to failure
I never want to awaken from dreaming
Whether I am awake or sleeping, I too am dreaming!
