A River

An alluring danger

By Katie Published 5 years ago โ€ข 1 min read

I looked into her eyes and saw my future,

laid out before me like a river,

flowing deep and wide.

With a dark turbulence,

an alluring danger.

A gaze that saw me as well, a gaze that laid bare my soul.

Locked in a imagining her entire being started to draw me in.

To the endless possibilities of things undiscovered,

of places shared by no other

than us.

Of long embraces and passionate love,

spread out over a lifetime.

All this we shared, over perhaps a second or two.

Or was it an eternity?

And so I fell into her waters

to be swept away.

And became one with her.
