A reminder in the darkness.

Linger upon this winter storm,

Blizzard scorn raging through, despite,

Hope that burns in unyielding defiance,

No matter how dark the night.

As a torch in the caverns of darkness,

As a lamp to lead the way,

As a heart that yearns for the morning sun,

As a mind determined to stay.

In the darkness, in the shadows,

Where everything seems full of despair,

When there seems no hope for liberation,

With no bold brave enough, to dare.

It is in such times, in the darkness,

Where we wrestle with fear and fright,

That we are reminded of who we truly are,

And as to why, we wage our fight.
