A Reflection on Love

Always love lingers, yet never for me

A Reflection on Love

Some people get money,

some find love divine,

A once-in-a-lifetime treasure,

truly rare to find.

But what happened to me?

I’m left with none of the above,

Just empty echoes

where I longed for love.

I watch as others flourish,

with joy they can hold,

While I’m searching in shadows,

feeling tired and cold.

No fortune to claim,

no heart to embrace,

Just a quiet longing

for that warm, tender space.

What happened to me?

Was it fate that was cruel?

As I wander through life,

feeling lost and a fool.

In a world full of lovers,

I stand here alone,

With a heart that still hopes

for a love that’s my own.

We all search for this idea of love, and sometimes it is right under our noses. Good job.
