In the cold, snowy peaks, of the Himalayan heights,

Lies a creature so rare, that it gives even the bravest a fright,

With fur as white, as a fresh blanket of snow,

It's the elusive Yeti, that we all long to know.

*

I was on a quest, for the truth about this beast,

With stories and legends, that could put any mind at peace,

And then one day, as I trudged through the snow,

There it was, in all its glory, the Yeti, oh, you know!

*

It was shaggy and hairy, with eyes that shone bright,

And a roar that echoed, across the mountainside,

I was scared, but also, filled with glee,

For I'd finally found, what I'd been searching for, you see!

*

But as I approached, it turned out to be,

Just a friendly old bear, with a case of mange, you'll see,

And as I walked away, I couldn't help but laugh,

At the rare find, that turned out to be, just a Yeti-half.

*

So, if you're on a quest, for the truth about this creature,

Just remember, it may be a rare find, but not much of a feature,

For sometimes, the rarest of things, may turn out to be,

Just a bear, with a funny hairdo, for all to see.
