A Psalm of Pearl

Sela

By Earl W. PearlPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

I write this Psalm because I’m awed

By You we call Jehovah God

And since MY ways are clearly flawed

Your Higher ways I’ll aways laud

My thoughts and dreams can be impure

Oppressed by demons, that’s for sure

Without Your Spirit there’s no cure

So please, O Lord, help me endure

I rise, I fall, that’s been my trend

And yet somehow You call me “friend”

It’s why Your mercy I depend

And lifted prayers to You I send

Our time alone are times too few

So thank You Lord for all You do

I’m choosing, God, to trust in You

So strengthen me, Lord, thru and thru

Your scriptures say You’re love and light

I’ve learned thru faith, that scripture’s right

It’s You who helps in every plight

The only reason I still fight

Most view my life a life of dearth

To only You do I have worth

Please guide me as You have since birth

Whatever time I’ve left on earth

You’ve blessed me more than I deserved

It’s why it’s only You I’ve served

My life is changed, my friends observed

A place in heaven You’ve reserved

It’s David’s heart You so admired

He wrote the Psalm’s that we’ve acquired

It’s in this way that I’VE aspired

To use the gift that You’ve inspired

love poems
