A problem I see...
A poem about society.
By Benjamin Alexander HousePublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

We want it all, we want it fast.
We put all our energy into things which won’t last.
We get what we want, we still think we have it rough.
We no longer know just what is enough.
A strange thing is man and stranger is our mind.
To choose the very things that put us in a bind.
In our hurt, we hurt in turn, that much is clear.
It seems we never learn, a great thing to fear.
Instead of thinking, I act.
Forsaking, all sense of tact.
A problem I see.
Reflecting how I see me.
