A Presence Still Felt

The Pain of Losing a Loved One

I lost my favorite person in the world,

A love so pure, my heart unfurled.

But though they are gone, their presence is still felt,

Their love and spirit, a warmth that still melts.

I see them in the sunset's orange hues,

Hear their laughter in the morning dew.

They are the breeze that brushes my face,

The guiding light in my darkest place.

I miss them dearly, with every breath,

But their soul is with me, until my death.

Their love endures, it never fades,

And in my heart, it forever stays.

I find comfort in the memories we shared,

The love we had, the moments we bared.

I know they are always with me, in spirit and soul,

And that knowledge makes me whole.
