Is there a place for me
A place I can go
When I am hurt
When I want to scream
When I want to cry
When I want love
When I want to die
Is there a place for my heart
That is safe
Where there is no shame
Where there is no hate
For my pain
I found a place for me to go
And with the power of my suffering
I can turn my mind against itself
And lead myself there
A dark place
Where there is no sound
Where I can be at peace
Where I won't burden anyone
A place to rest my eyes
A place for my hurt to go
All of it
