It's amazing what can be captured on canvas

A tavern wench sings a song
No one else can hear,
But generations and a tavern full of people
All will end their ear.
A large dog gnaws a small bone
He will never finish.
A cat stalks rat who's close to its hole,
But the rat will never vanish.
Dusty men on frosty running horses
Race across a golden plain.
Are these men chasing love or gold
Or just boys playing a game?
People and animals frozen in time
Captured by pencil or brush.
Put down on on canvas by someone's inspiration,
Never moving but still, in a rush.
