Not a word out in the world.

Not a single word,

out in the world,

the biggest mistake,

is the urge to share,

let someone know,

when leaving on good terms,

for it is much easier,

to leave in silence,

to exit in pain,

The real strength,

lies beneath the smile,

not a bit of hunch to the crowd,

even with the one living in the house,

to pretend, we have been well taught,

to smile, we have been well trained,

not an easy way out,

but faith in the walk,

a spy in the hide,

the plan in the back,

Once decided,

with doubts still in the mind,

the fear stalling the time,

make sure to practice,

to drop the thoughts to trace the past,

to drop the guilt to look at life,

a hope of knowing,

nothing good will hold too long,

but that single mistake will prolong,

in the air of the past,

stories get bent,

the shame at the pointing end,

the more the emotions,

the more cost to the appearance,

Don't overshare,

What goes inside the head,

no one really knows is a fact,

Be fine about the change,

but don't harden the podium,

with the expectation to change,

drop it now, take it down,

Don't let the ear extend its help,

the curiosity to know,

for there will be articles not to be seen,

not to be heard,

for all the ignorant greed,

will shine into the world,

to fill up the page,

Take that detour,

an evening of a daily walk,

into the mountains,

through the dense forest,

along the side of a lonely river,

the silence of words,

the humming of wild birds,

the bare feet on the ground,

roars with the breath of fear,

pricking from underground,

drops the pain to mere death,

running for life, realizing,

how the world tunes,

to function with everything to make sense,

And when challenged about something, out of the ordinary,

pushed to the corner to not make sense, becomes the reality,

Don't exit,

but build the resilience,

to disappear into the sounds,

silencing the words,

ceasing the noise,

Don't promise until death,

don't burden the living breath,

Hover with a sign of relief,

leaving everything weighing nothing,

Don't let the pain shrink the time,

Mark those points with halt and then climb,

ultimately, the end,

A dust in the wind,

Know, the fear in the fight,

the tears rolling down the eyes,

doesn't get defined into weakness,

but to celebrate in solidarity,

standing firm on the ground,

Not a single word,

out in the world,

A nameless walkaway,

from the lens of a dense night,

weaving into a stream of light,

quietly framing words of insight,

not knowing what tomorrow holds,

but the willingness to see.

About the Creator

Parvathi J

Through my pages, I find the quiet complexities of pain dwelling in a solitary space, burdening life’s endless demands, and unburdening the voiceless noise.

Witnessing the questioning, I speak the deeper silence of my voice.

Very heartfelt words, really best to save the pain filled paths for softer times, I agree. Tears wash away the memories. Congrats.

first, congratulations on TS. My mom always said crying was a sign of weakness but your poem proved otherwise. "the tears rolling down the eyes, doesn't get defined into weakness". GREAT poem.

  • "Don't promise until death, don't burden the living breath," I especially loved these lines. Your poem was so beautiful!
