A Morning Musing

The Colors Of Our Love

By Marisa LaurellePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

This is a poem written for all the loveships that know when to share AND when to accept the colors needed for the greater good.

"The Color Of Our Love" by Marisa L

On days I feel a little less than my best

you're always there

with your color shield,

and

a smile on.

The Patient Fox in you shining brighter than a Summer Star;

your capable hands making sure I am safe

when the eyes in the back of my head

are closed.

Your royal depth neatly tucked away

not for fear

not for deception

but a soft- lit protection of A love that runs deeper

than can be measured.

With the ease of a bird in flight

your Orange bubble glows stronger than you know.

I almost hope you stay there. Under the radar. A well-kept secret, without a boastful bone behind your skin.

Even when I'm struttin' Pink

worn down by the heavy stones of this world-

your Heart beats in Red

And

your Indigo eyes remind me

that the Color of Our Love is always fresh.

It changes, like the Sea at the mercy of the Moon.

So

on days when your Blue is thin

or your Green needs some more Yellow

I'll always have extra for you to hold on to

for as many Tomorrow's

as you need.

About the Creator

Marisa Laurelle

Hi! My name's Marisa. Really, it is. And it's pronounced like "Lisa"- Mareeesa. It's hard for people, I'm not sure why that is.:)

Anyways- I like to write, sing, dance, and explore the inner and outer worlds as much as possible. Birds rule.
