The Longest Sigh

It started that night,

and it will never end.

I saw her from across the room.

She was with her friends and laughing at something, or maybe someone. But it didn't matter.

I saw her. And she was the only thing I could see from that point on.

Her long hair was pulled back, only a few tendrils falling down to frame her face.

lost in your grace

The night was cold, and I could tell she was too from the way she shivered under my gaze.

It had only been sixty seconds since the first moment our eyes met, but my breath had stopped. When finally I blinked, a felt a sigh leave my body.

I couldn't see her anymore. Had she left? Did I miss my chance?

Then, softly a tinkling noise makes it's way to my ear, and I see her.

Now, she's near. So close I can't see straight. I can smell her fragrance wafting from the bar to my nostrils, filling me up from the inside out.

She's all I can see, feel, think or breathe. How was the world before I saw you, I couldn't remember now if I tried.

lost in your grace

She hasn't said a word to me yet, maybe she never will but that doesn't matter. Nothing matters anymore except that I see you every moment of every day for the rest of time.

It's my goal, my mission. My obsession.

I sigh, the longest sigh. It will never end.

Oooh, nice union of misguided love and creepy stalking. This almost feels like a preface for a short story.
