Tranquil breaths and heavy eyes
It’s time to shut the lights.
But fight I must
for sleep is foe,
A portal I must decline invite.
Fallowed, fatigued, feeble flesh
The sandman is too strong.
Succumbed to Z's
The torment begins
Pray I make it to dawn.
Suddenly I'm on a trip
In the back seat of a sedan.
Beginnings are always so innocent
Wild bear traps hidden in sand.
Runaway car, don’t know where we are
Or the woman beside me.
Eyes forward
raising no alarm
Unbothered by my company.
We ride on the road Satan used to get to the garden.
Excavate around
Left to right
Hair raising
wits sharpened.
Eye dropping
Heart stopping
Tear jerking
Teeth knocking
Utter shock to find
A newborn baby
in my arms entwined!
Seconds that would last decades,
A green haired needle popped our bubble.
Wretched, wrinkled
bird claw fingers
snatched my seed
And chucked it out the window!
NOOOO
I heaved!
Lips curled
The demon was pleased.
Torso flying
Arms flailing
Tears wailing
Hell hailing
Wind slipping through my fingers
Empty hands holding two ton stingers.
Sliding back into the leather
Locations switched
We’re in a cellar.
Crooked crow
She gives no breaks
Claws dig deeper down my trache
“Open wide dear”
She forces a smile.
Arms unbound
yet weigh a thousand pounds.
I’ve slipped onto the tracks.
A mouse caught in a glue trap.
Blinded by the smell of char
front tooth snaps off like a KitKat bar.
Nail file
my teeth down to its gums.
Ravaging
Gnawing
Rodents scourging from the light.
Burrowing.
Slicing.
Nostrils clogged up by her spit
Iron tints stream down my lips.
Fin…
Before she welcomes me to death
I wake up soaked and hot in bed.
I search for serpents in my room
Only to be greeted by a bright full moon.
