A Melting Moment with a Melting Moment

Soft, sweet, and gone too soon

By Sandy GillmanPublished 6 months ago 1 min read
AI-generated, but still makes my mouth water.

Soft and powdery

to the touch.

The delectable citrus scent

washes over me.

My teeth glide through the

delicate, buttery texture.

A sweet, vanilla explosion

caresses my taste buds.

Cool, velvety cream

slides across my tongue.

The gentle, crumbly, crunch

drifts through my ears.

Left yearning for more.

Oh, so many more.

Melting moments are a popular biscuit in Australia and New Zealand. They're made from two shortbread biscuits sandwiched with a lemon-vanilla icing. They get their name from their delicious, melt-in-your-mouth texture.

I want some Melting moments now! Immediately. Lots of them and a pot of tea. :D How deliciously sounding poem. And that image! I didn't realise it was AI generated until I read it. It looks so delicious.

  • Delicioso!! Will search for them at the supernart tomorrow.

I didn't think it's possible to make me hungry after just stuffing myself at lunch, but you did it. 😂😂Such a good name for a dessert, too.

Yummy poem! And now, I'm going to go raid the cupboard.

  • Beautifully captured… I can almost taste them! They’re quite a challenge to consume without creating a mess.😅

You know what I love more than that AI generated photo? The 'gentle, crumbly crunch line.' It heightens my senses. I wish I could eat it. 'That sweet vanilla explosion' have me in a choke hold. I think you know what you were doing with this free verse. I love shortbread biscuits, but I know they would be made better with that lemon vanilla icing in the middle. Nice to know it's popular in Australia and new Zealand. What's not nice, is that my teeth cannot currently 'glide through the delicate buttery texture'. This was fantastic Sandy, it has all the good workings of a masterpiece in caressing our taste buds through words and acting like water to wash it all down 🤗❤️

The name's the promise: pure, vanishing bliss between biscuits.
