… It’s been a LONG YEAR
To take what we’ve been given
A long year
To live this life’s living
A long year
To swallow the hateful rhymes
A long year
To believe
Better days are coming in time…
I want to WAKE UP
Believe love is growing
Step out the door
Stop my neighbors troubles from overflowing
Make that sign
Climb the justice ladder
Use my voice
And scream, Black Lives Matter…
We need to HEAL
Our broken planet
The only way forward
Is to accept where we are
And right the wrongs that run the gamut…
We must extinguish PERSECUTION
As Americans And Citizens old and new
Care for strangers
Perpetuate love in all we do
Change the ending…
We have to PROTECT our children
Our immigrants
Our Poor
Our LGBTQ++++
Exercise tolerance in what we do not understand
Open our hearts to different opinions throughout our lands…
There is NO LOVE IN HATE
No kindness in killing
We are what we do
It’s not too late
We must be willing…
It’s been a LONG YEAR
And now we must start a new beginning…
