A Lone Star Christmas
A Poem

Pine trees whisper in the breeze
Fireflies glow when day is done
Crickets hum their evening song
And call out Merry Christmas everyone
πππππππππππππππ
Santa rides a horse down here
Kids come running when they hear his call
Neighbors wave from passing trucks
Their smiles saying God bless you all
πππππππππππππππ
Hushed creeks shimmer under stars
Owls keep watch from branches high
A chorus rises from the woods
Like nature's Christmas lullaby
πππππππππππππππ
The smell of brisket fills the air
the heat turned down real low
Cooking it up with grateful hearts
In that East Texas way we know
πππππππππππππππ
The Lone Star sky glows soft tonight
Our lights shine bright for one and all
We send our love from Texas to your home
Wishing Merry Christmas to yβall.

This a beautiful poem that highlights how the season can look different based on the region of the countryβor the worldβthat weβre in. Nicely done, and I love the image that goes with it.
