In a moments notice we all come alive,
Mothered to life, Fathered with time,
What our life holds, we can never be sure,
The first few years seem all in a blur,
Our bodies are fickle, and voices so meek,
Searching the world, yet it is nothing we seek
We go with the flow, happy and selfless,
Whether loved or abused, we’re all too helpless,
some born into love, others born into hate,
in the end of it all, we share the same fate,
to return back home, and be with our father,
a short life lived, we were everything but a bother,
We were mothered awake, then fathered to bed,
In a moments notice, we all end up dead

Such a powerful reminder — we don’t need to have it all figured out to move forward.
