A Little Hungry Mouse

I left a stack of cheese last night

a treasure waiting in the quiet

a little mouse came soft and small

his whiskers shining most of all

He climbed the plate he took a slice

his eyes were bright his paws were nice

I did not chase I let him be

for something gentle spoke to me

A hungry guest with no disguise

a tiny spark of life and eyes

I felt no anger only peace

to share my stack of golden cheese

Now he returns each night again

I leave a bite to ease his pain

my little friend of me has no fear

there’s always cheese stacked for him here

Good job. The image is so cute, but where there's one mouse there is probably more.
