Can we hold on to anything, forever?

I wonder why, there are so many things that matter so much

When we live in a world, that is all but ephemeral, can we hold on to anything forever?

Can we make a feeling last til the end of time, when our time here is just as limited?

And where do we go after our time has gone, the unknown answer has been obsessed about for centuries.

When all we live for, is to live in the moment, when we can't make it last.

Life is

a fleeting thought

a transient feeling

a fading memory

a lasting lifetime

of nothing that lasts.
