A life’s worth of clothes

A poem about a woman’s wardrobe

Band t-shirts and skinny jeans

A college sweatshirt

Short tight dresses to wear to clubs

Stilettos you can barely walk in

Suit jackets, sensible shoes and dress pants

A dress fit for a romantic dinner

A little red thing for the third date

A sensible dress for meeting the folks

Flats and other comfortable shoes

A ragged t-shirt to paint the new place in

A puffy white wedding dress

A few things for the honeymoon

Boring maternity wear

Loyal scarfs that fit you no matter your size

Daggy t-shirts that can be stained

New swimsuits that cover stretch marks

Bigger clothes after putting on a few pounds

Smaller clothes after the juice cleanse

Yoga pants and sports bras - the pounds will stay off!

A pasta shell necklace your daughter made you

Mum jeans and button ups

Hiking gear after the husband picks up a new hobby

A new pant suit for the big meeting

A nice bag to celebrate that promotion

More bags as you climb higher

Missing jackets your daughter conveniently fits

A few lacy things to perk your husband’s interest

A new dress to wear for her graduation

Cardigans, sweaters, and comfortable shoes

A black dress for the funeral

Track pants and lounge wear

A sweater that still smells like him

Dressing gowns and slippers

Clothes moved to a new wardrobe

To remind her of you
