A Life of Comfort, A Duty to Empathy
Finding Balance in a World of Inequality

In a world that's harsh and cruel,
A life that's easy seems like a jewel,
But what of the cost that it may hold?
The price paid in hearts, perhaps untold.
To live with ease while others toil,
May bring comfort, but also spoil,
For what of empathy and care?
When others suffer, do we not dare?
To live a life that's hard on none,
Is a noble goal, second to none,
But when the burden's all our own,
Do we not crumble, like stones?
To find a balance, that's the key,
To live with grace and harmony,
To ease the load of others' plight,
And yet, also shine your own light.
For a life that's hard on others,
Is not one that we should seek to smother,
But to lend a hand, and share the load,
And in that way, our souls will glow.
So let us strive to be the best,
To live a life that's truly blessed,
With kindness, empathy, and care,
And a heart that's open, always there.
