A king I once was in my younger years,
Now I'm just old with memories of peoples fears.
I roamed the land both far and wide,
Never did I need to run and hide.
The land was lush with game of many choices,
Full of promise within their many voices.
Every week I would chose something to snack on,
Because that is how often I ate being a lion.
I lived with a gaggle of gorgeous ladies,
Each one beautiful and with unique personalities.
They brought me a family that has lasted for ages,
But sadly most of them have ended up in cages.
A king I once was with my family in the wild,
Now I just sit here getting stared at by man's visiting child.
